Milbank Group Wins Best Newcomer Award at St Helena Hospice’s £40 Challenge September 23, 2025

We are delighted to share that Milbank Group has been awarded ‘Best Newcomer’ at St Helena Hospice’s £40 Challenge Awards Evening 2025.

The evening celebrated the creativity and generosity of local businesses and community groups who took part in the hospice’s annual fundraising initiative. This year’s challenge was a record-breaking success, with participants turning their £40 seed money into an incredible £23,874.23 to support St Helena’s essential services.

Our Challenge: A Sponsored Litter Pick

As our first time taking part, we wanted to do something that made a real difference locally while bringing people together. We organised a sponsored litter pick around the estate where our HQ is based and invited neighbouring businesses to join us.

The result? A cleaner environment for the community we work in and an impressive £600 raised for St Helena Hospice.

Our Group Marketing Manager, Ashley Perkins, and Group CEO, Matthew Sparrow, were honoured to attend the awards evening and accept the Best Newcomer award on behalf of the whole Milbank Group team.

Recognising Other Achievements

St Helena’s awards evening also highlighted the fantastic efforts of other participants:

  • Top Fundraisers: Informa & Thrive GYMS
  • Community Impact: Essex Knitters & Stitchers
  • Best Newcomer: Milbank Group
  • Most Outstanding: Atlas UK
  • St Helena Bold, Passionate & Caring: St Helena St Christopher’s Shop

We are proud to stand alongside such passionate organisations, all working towards the same goal of supporting St Helena’s vital work.

Why This Matters

St Helena Hospice provides crucial care and support to people facing incurable illness and bereavement across our community. Their mission to help local people live with dignity and compassion is one we wholeheartedly admire and are proud to support.

At Milbank Group, we believe in giving back to the communities we are part of. This recognition is a wonderful reminder that small actions — whether it’s organising a litter pick, raising funds, or volunteering time — can create a lasting impact.

Looking Ahead

We are thrilled to have been recognised with the Best Newcomer award, but more importantly, we are inspired to continue working alongside St Helena Hospice. Our commitment to supporting their work is ongoing, and we look forward to taking part in future initiatives that help make a difference where it matters most.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, donated, and supported our fundraising efforts. Together, we can keep making a positive change.
